Located in the yard of this partially burnt and abandoned church at de Courcelles and Saint-Jacques in the Saint-Henri district of Montreal, this statue of Jesus has had a pentagram added to his podium, resulting in it being known as the "Satanic Jesus" statue.

More on this church later. I will probably get around to posting my pics of it one of these days, but CE's pics are better.

first do some research before u write any more crap..

the symbol of satan is the UPSIDE DOWN pentagram, not this.. this here is just a pagan symbol with hundreds of meanings, one of them being life, or human, or human and the 4 forces of nature..

I have to admit I was a little disappointed the pentagram was the wrong way up. Definite false advertising!

It should be pointed out that I never "Advertised" the statue to be truly Satanic in nature. I have merely stated how the people in the Village Des Tanneries part of Montreal's Saint-Henri district describe this statue of Jesus, due to the graffiti on its base. We laypeople are not required by law to break stereotypes, or to have an extensive knowledge of Satanic symbolism.

If you want real Satanic icons, well... It's a big internet out there, so I'm pretty sure you will find what you are looking for eventually.

Of course, all this is moot now. The whole church complex has been demolished, as of this month. I just noticed it missing the other day as I was passing by on the elevated highway above it.
