jeeff, I was looking at some of your pics from '05; they're really great! what was the reason for your trip? I was studying abroad for urban planning. I remember this morning very clearly...a buddy of mine from school and I went to London Nite at Club Wire, and of course if you miss the subway by midnight you're basically out until 5 a.m. So we stayed at the club until the morning. when we left we went to a Mister Donut for breakfast, and were surprised to get two free tins of donuts for being the first customers of the day!

gawd that looks oppressive to me!

i'm sure some of you think that looks cool and fun, but my head would explode walking around those streets.

heh why did i say akihabara? i lived there and taught english, just saving up money so i could go back to school (for urban geography). i spent a few long nights like that, usually ending up in a yoshinoya. never got free gyudon tho...

I am so happy to be a part of a site on which so many urban studies folks are able to snap their works. As a high school teacher of urban planning (Urban Soc/GIS), CityNoise is an invaluable tool in getting the transcendent image of the city into our students field of vision. Thanks for these images of Tokyo.
