cleveland rocks. when were these pictures taken?

BelievelandBikes: 9th Aug 2007 - 22:59 GMT

The top three were in what's left of the Industrial beltway along the Cuyahoga River... The former LTV Steel (Due East of Steelyard Commons) and the last one is on the corner of Wiley and Train in Duck Island.

awesome--I'm glad you posted shots of the steel yards! what's the story with the boxcar?

Belroc: 9th Aug 2007 - 23:14 GMT

Now this is my kind of place..
The train has a road number
But no sign of what railroad!!
Plus its wooden.
That should be restored and put in a museum..
love the black & white photos, makes it look even older.

BelievelandBikes: 10th Aug 2007 - 01:21 GMT

The shots were taken about six years ago and I just scanned them recently. As for the boxcar, it was the only isolated car in the yard just hanging out by itself. The tracks run through the west bank site. They might have been removed to make room for the shopping development adjacent to the mill.

Love your artistic eye! These are great photos. Love the contrast in textures. Send along more.

stevo: 10th Aug 2007 - 03:49 GMT

That's not a boxcar...it's a caboose. Nice picture, if you like that sort of thing

colavitos ghost: 10th Aug 2007 - 06:30 GMT

cleveland grit at its finest.

i got asthma just looking at these.

Belroc: 10th Aug 2007 - 23:57 GMT

Yes it's a caboose. You can tell by the Cupola on top.
I didn't think it was that important to correct anyone.
More pictures of that please.

Wholesome Urban Graffiti

Knitta, Please... A recent wave of a new type of tagging has occurred recently in Houston and it's popping up in other cities too! Instead of tagging with paint, they use yarn! It's wholesome and quaint! Knitta, please... I found a few...
