Downtown Halifax
Browsing articles by CE - [previous] :: [next]As alluded to in this post, I was recently in Halifax to participate in the Atlantica trade conference protest (more information at the bottom). My posts will stay apolitical for the meantime but I will post some pictures from the actual protest in the future. In my spare time and while walking to different destinations, I made sure to take pictures of the various neighbourhoods around downtown Halifax. The following photos are of the downtown core itself, mostly of or around Barrington Street, Argyle Street, and Spring Garden Road.
A Critical Mass was held on Barrington Street as part of the protest activities.
A not so great picture of the famed Pizza Corner

And especially the concerts. Billy Idol, Iron Maiden and Twisted Sister in the Metro Centre, and Nazareth at the Misty Moon Cabaret. Sigh... the good old days... Cakemix: 4th Dec 2007 - 10:02 GMT...Guns and Roses, and Metallica...Tragically Hip I miss Halifax too. I miss Dal and TUNS. It looks great with a coat of paint. To everyone who spent time there in the 80's and 90's...cheers! I'll come home soon:)
