When industry sleeps, CityNoise creeps. Sunday! Sunday! Sunday! This article has been viewed 1249 times in the last 24 months jack: 23rd Jul 2007 - 22:50 GMTi could swear that this is the old navy yards where i shipped out for europe in dec of 1961. we hit the north atlantic in rough storms for 4 days and many got sick. not me. CartLegger: 24th Jul 2007 - 12:50 GMTJack, I think you are remembering BK's Army Terminal, which starts at 58th street. That's where they also kept over 700 "suspicious" characters after 9/11. I was not even permitted to take a picture of it from up close. So no, I could not sneak in. And if I ever do end up there, I hope someone calls a good lawyer. jack: 25th Jul 2007 - 13:31 GMTyour correct, thanks, i have to tell you that those troop ships were something else, we slept 4 bunks on top of each other and when the boys got sick and threw up in their hammocks and the vomit dripped from cot to cot, i was on the bottom so i got up and grabbed the top guy and pulled him out of his cot and put him in the bottom, he was too sick to care, then i jumped into the top cot, opened my shaving kit and poured my old spice all over me and kept the bag on my face for the night. best nights sleep i had in quite awhile. the see's were angry my friend and there was a latrine in the aft and i was sitting on my throne with six other guys on their thrones and the back wall was open and we were doing our business and looking out onto the rolling seas, we would go up and see no water and then with a mighty bounce we would go straight down and the water was all around us, guys would bounce off their toilet seats and wind up on the deck, with all their body matter all over them, i just hope no one is reading this and eating, it was an event i'll never forget, i held tightly onto my seat but it hurt my butt and some other things down there. CartLegger: 25th Jul 2007 - 15:03 GMTGeez, the places you've been. The body fluids you've dealt with. We are learning new things everyday from you, Jack. CartLegger: 25th Jul 2007 - 15:06 GMT
