Here is a shot of the old RCA building in St-Henri. The one with the Toshiba sign on top of it. I find it looks like something out of a videogame.

Great pic. I was jsut talking about this place with my neighbour last night. He just moved his glass shop out of this place into my building.

EvilGentleman: 20th Jul 2007 - 23:35 GMT

We really should all get together one clear day and take pictures till after dark, see what we get.

Cinic: 21st Jul 2007 - 15:20 GMT

Ya, there are some great pictures to be taken around this building, it would be nice to get some pictures of this place during dawn. From the pictures you guys take (CE and EvilGentleman), I assume you live in or near St-Henri?

CE: 21st Jul 2007 - 15:38 GMT

I've lived in quite a few places since I moved here last August. I lived in St-Henri for a couple months but I live in Griffintown now which isn't too far away. I also did a stint in Verdun, Downtown, and Ville Saint-Laurent.

EvilGentleman: 21st Jul 2007 - 22:52 GMT

We have both tended to focus on the area of downtown near Guy-Concordia metro, probably due to our being Concordia students. I also hang around with the native crowd in the west end of downtown, although many of them have fallen on hard times as of late, and some of them are beyond help now.

The St-Henri district, Pointe-St-Charles, Verdun, N.D.G. and Ville-Emard are all areas I love to photograph. I prefer to photograph REAL cityscapes, and I usually find that suburbia and the upper-class estates offer very little in the way of character. Just monotony and sameness, most of the time, although there are the occasional exceptions.

As for where I live, Kahnawake is my hometown, but I have been living in Dorval for the two years since I returned from my nine-year stint in the Arctic.

I actually haven't been taking a lot of photos lately. Just not super inspired or maybe still overwhelmed by Montreal. I have been branching out a lot more lately as far as exploration goes. I've been going up north and out east and even leaving the island for the suburbs a bit (pictures of the horror are forthcoming). I think as the summer nears its end and fall begins, I will be taking more photos. I think I would be posting a lot more if I had a new computer, running Photoshop on this one can be excruciating!

Sutro Majast

Finally! Clear skies today to save us from the rainiest March on record. The entire town is sick and wet. People are staying in and cuddling, listening to cuddling music. The planet is sick and punishing SF like a drunken...
