Fouling Up the Metro Map
Browsing articles by CE - [previous] :: [next]Often, Metro stations will have their names on the walls obscured with a black marker to make it into another word. Somebody decided to do it to all the station names on this Metro map. After the marker had been taken to the map, "Atwater" became "twat", "Peel" became "Pee", "Jean-Drapeau" became "rape", and "Assomption" became "Ass". The only other one that I know of (and my favourite) that isn't included (but is hard to do unless done on the capitalised Metro font on the large wall signs) is the conversion of "ACADIE" to "AC/DC".
Station Atwater, Metro, Montreal This article has been viewed 1497 times in the last 25 months serlingrod: 19th Jul 2007 - 02:51 GMTthis is so childish, yet somehow its still funny! In Philly several years ago SEPTA changed the words at the 5th Street station from "Olde City" to "Old[] City" by putting a piece of tape over the E....it looks ridiculous. CE: 19th Jul 2007 - 02:58 GMTHa! You should come see Montreal where a piece of tape is government policy. Comment on this articleBrowsing articles by CE - [previous] :: [next] |
