Jeez, he looks like his neck's going to break too. And his left elbow.

Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 2nd May 2007 - 15:39 GMT

His skinny tie was too tight and he blacked out, mid spaz-dance. Toppling over, gravity grasped him. RIP cool iPod dude.

EvilGentleman: I think the pink sky made him suicidal.

Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 3rd May 2007 - 14:09 GMT

Pink sky at night,
Zunes delight.

EvilGentleman: 3rd May 2007 - 14:58 GMT

Pink sky in the morning,
Zune take warning.

CartLegger: 4th May 2007 - 00:12 GMT

EG: I keep seeing Nunavut in your posts. Do you live there?

EvilGentleman: 4th May 2007 - 02:18 GMT

CartLegger, I lived in the land currently known as the Territory of Nunavut from 1991 to 1999, except for a two-year break in the mid-1990's. From 1999 to 2005, I lived in Nunavik, the Inuit portion of far northern Quebec. I currently live in Dorval, a suburb of Montreal.

chiamattt: 4th May 2007 - 17:21 GMT

I have relatives in Terrebonne. I don't really talk to them because they vote PQ.

EvilGentleman: 5th May 2007 - 00:30 GMT

Um, that is ... ?... er... ah... chiamattt, you been smoking the reefer lately?

chiamattt: 5th May 2007 - 05:23 GMT

I may have. I used to take the train to Dorval at Christmas.

EvilGentleman: 5th May 2007 - 16:40 GMT

I can see that train station from here, I always hear the brakes screeching loudly as it passes my place while slowing down for the station.

EvilGentleman: 8th May 2007 - 15:37 GMT

The scene of the crime:

maps.google.ca/maps?ie=UTF8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&q=&om=1&t=k&ll=45.52539,-73.552458&spn=0.00183,0.003616&z=18

You can actually see the billboard, although I doubt it was iPod-related at the time of the satellite shot. I took the shot looking NW from under the bridge on the cross street.

upfromflames: 10th May 2007 - 01:13 GMT

EG: If you can make yourself a KMZ file, we can see all your google map marks on one map!
I'd really like that, since you have so many listings...

EvilGentleman: 10th May 2007 - 01:28 GMT

I just saw that feature for the first time last night. I'm still figuring out how to use it and post it. Once I do, I may very well do that, but it would be sooooo cluttered, and would need constant updates as well. Maybe if I just make a KMZ file for each month, the link to be posted in the last and/or most popular articles of each month? I'll have to see what makes the most sense.

upfromflames: 10th May 2007 - 01:38 GMT

Great idea...best thing is to get a good feel for google earth--how things look on those display panels--then see what works best for you...but I think that the monthly thing may well make sense. I look forward to whatever you will send us, oh yee of well worn odometer!

EvilGentleman: 10th May 2007 - 21:48 GMT

Oh, Google Earth, I am pretty familiar with, but I cannot make links unless I sign in and add placemarks, and some of my placemarks, I would rather illustrate an area, and not a specific point. With Google Maps, I can add a link to a specific view, and I can choose whether it links to a map or a satellite photo.

It's the MyMaps feature of Google Maps that I have to learn how to use properly. This can allow me to draw lines, add placemarks, and select a specific view and resolution.

I think I may use Google MyMaps to do the monthly links, but I think I will also add article-specific links like I have done here to most of my articles, so that people will not have to click through a whole month's worth of my articles to find a map.
