Cherokee in Benton Park West
[previous] :: [next]Benton Park West borders Benton Park on the west, with the dividing line being Jefferson. BPW was built up around the 1860's by Germans as a working-class, residential area. Cherokee Street through Benton Park and BPW is a historic, commercial artery running through the middle of these neighborhoods. Over the years, many Hispanic immigrants have moved into the area, opening several amazing Mexican restaurants, markets, and shops. BPW hasn't received the level of investment that Benton Park has. However, it is a vibrant neighborhood which has come a long way in the last decade.
