The Little Girl in the Window
[previous] :: [next]
remember the story i told you all about the old lady who died in her room and came back as a little doll in the window, elaine posted the picture of the doll in the window, i told you the story behind the doll, now i have another story, in 1911, a women, never married, could never marry, sat alone in her room overlooking 10th avenue all her life. she played with a little doll, a doll that loved her and was always there for her, there to protect her from the raging drunkenous of her parents, she loved her little doll and then one night, the rage of drunkenous came upon her again, she cowered in the corner behind her bed, silent, but she forgot her doll, her doll was by the window, the drunks searched for her but in their drunkenous could not find her, they were screaming for her, to beat her, blaiming her for their problems, blaiming a little retarded girl for their problems, and as they looked out the window, looking for the girl, they fell, they fell to their deaths upon the sidewalks of new york, and as the police and people gathered around the bodies, they looked upward and saw the doll, there in the window, looking down with almost a smile on its face.
