Stone Building With Style

The store across from Ogilvy's on Sainte-Catherine downtown is quite noticeable, due to the high contrast of the old stone facade being accented with bright red awnings. I must say, I like the look of the building this way. It looks sort of European somehow.

How have I never ever noticed this building? Seriously, it looks completly new to me but the Ogilvy's building looks very familiar.

Speaking of Ogilvy's, have you ever been in there while the bagpiper walks through the store?

EvilGentleman: 8th Mar 2007 - 06:42 GMT

Maybe because Sainte-Catherine is the cross street in this photo. We are looking north on de la Montagne, I think.

No, I have never had the opportunity to hear the pipes in Ogilvy's yet. Every time my grandmother took me there, it was after the noon hour piper had left.

the old building can tell many stories and every person has a memory of it. i'm partial to awnings, want to put some up on my home to give it the country look.
