In Memory of Philip Johnson
[previous] :: [next]
On this day, January 25th, in 2005 famed architect Philip Johnson passed away, he was 98 years old. Houston is fortunate to be graced with several wonderful buildings designed by Philip Johnson. Two of these are picture above, The University of St. Thomas and The Chapel of St. Thomas. He also designed two amazing landmarks here in the city, The Williams Tower formerly known as The Transco Tower which stands proud and tall in The Galleria/Uptown area of Houston. He also designed the Bank Of America Center which is located downtown. If you have Philip Johnson buildings in your town, I encourage you to post them in this thread or to make your own!
