A Garden Above the Streets

west third street has always been a quirky kind of street. i think it was more alive back in 60 (oh my gosh that's over 40 years ago) when kids like me ran into the city for a saturday in the village, in the parks, running around looking in store windows, trying on clothes, looking at girls, trying to get telephone numbers, looking at girls, listening to dion and the everly brothers, hippies and flower people, guitars and singing folk songs, and did i mention looking at girls? well it was cool then, very bohemian, and in a sort of underlying, dirty, used way the people. erotically functional.
