prison. off the turnpike at route 78. a human being, in a small cell, and when the iron gate door slams shut the sound resonates in their heads. why do people commit crimes? why do we hurt each other? does a person behind bars change when they get out or are they still locked up in passions. life is hard.
i pass this place everyday yet i still think of the people in there. when they are in their own element they act big and tough, but when the gate shuts with a clang they are alone, and they in the darkness of their cells, they alone know the truth. i know.
