there must be some story behind father frascati. i like the rope on the pole.

the utility wires crossing in front of all the buildings really add complexity to these images. these are nice.

i like these. i like the feel. i like the vibe. diggin' it.

i just commented on another post recently about how i love the way utility lines slice up a picture. we'll be seeing some classic cleveland utility lines a little later as well.
jack - i believe father frascati was just a prominent priest/community figure at the church in front of which that piazza is located.

it's funny about utility lines...if you go to any large, hip metropolitan center (think nyc, san francisco, toronto) you're sure to see loads of pathetic hipsters wearing t-shirts with utility poles/lines screen-printed across them--it's really become a popular motif. but then you look in the sky and realize that you're in a wealthy city where all the utility lines have been buried for decades. these people are sending out the message that they're gritty and love urban grit and modernity and power lines and shit like that, but they live in a place where they're able to romanticize about that grit because it's nothing more than a memory.

in cleveland we don't wear utility lines on our chests, we fly them like flags down every street.
