But where is Spartacus? And the other crucified slaves...Biff

joey: 11th Nov 2006 - 16:29 GMT

according to the goo, dovercourt is in ottawa. this appears to be a sunrise. no? yesterday we had a sunset that looked like this. unfortunaterly i was on the train home from work and did not get a photo of it.

jeeff: it was the sunset yesterday in toronto.

kricket: 12th Nov 2006 - 04:00 GMT

dovercourt's a major road not far from toronto's core.

nice foto, the wires create a neat effect. wish i could identify some of the buildings, but alas i cannot.

jeeff: 12th Nov 2006 - 18:25 GMT

i wouldn't call it major, but it does get a fair bit of traffic. those buildings are on the southwest corner of queen & dovercourt. they're not particularly memorable.

little ukraine: 17th Nov 2006 - 04:55 GMT

this is a really, really nice picture. power lines just seem to slice a picture up nicely. and the red stoplights are great.

jeeff: 26th Jun 2007 - 02:34 GMT

a correction: i found out that the nearest building pictured IS memorable, as i guess all buildings are if you're willing to look closely. sorry for the error.

from the Toronto Star, 'Fashion Incubator loses Queen St. W. home to developer'
www.thestar.com/article/222939
"The Toronto Fashion Incubator has lost its battle with Baywood Homes, a development company possibly itching to turn the Queen St. W. property into a condominium project."

"A launching pad for some of Canada's hottest fashion talent, including David Dixon, Joeffer Caoc and Arthur Mendonça, the incubator provides work space, workshops and equipment to more than 330 aspiring fashion designers."

"Toronto Fashion Incubator has called the squat, grey building at the corner of Queen St. W. and Dovercourt Rd. home since 1999."
