Gypsy Beggar

- steelisreal - Wednesday, November 1st, 2006 : goo

Of all the pictures this is probably my favorite.

These gypsy types were all over the tube and the tourist parts of London. They would swap babies around and the kids would walk around with an accordion and if you did not give them something then you most likely would get something stolen.

Maybe I am to rough on them but to me they were shady and I made a wide path around them.

they like to be called "roma."

like 'em or not, it's no longer pc to call them "gypsies." you don't have to care, just letting you know.

i knew gypsies in europe. they travelled around in colorful wagons. some pulled by horses and some by an old car or truck. they lived off selling cheap jewelry, tarot cards, playing music and conning people. kitty was a barmaid in the lili marlene club. she came from hungary and romania and made it to germany. she was a beauty with long black hair and a small waist. she would dance for the G I's hoping for a big tip when she delivered your drinks. i was her kind of guy. she had a thing for me and i kinda enjoyed her advances. she was a little older than me. i was 19 and she was about 30. kitty, good old kitty, she wanted to take me to romania with her and i had to keep reminding her i was a soldier. she would sing with her gypsy family in her caravan which was located behind the motor pool. i can still see them sitting around the camp fires. singing their gypsy songs.

jack: you seem to associate most places with women

mickie: 26th Jul 2007 - 21:27 GMT

so why are they here, what do they bring to this country?

Jim: 8th Feb 2008 - 20:33 GMT

I concur!

I presume you mean the gypsies from eastern europe, man they are awful.
What bothers me is the fact that most have passed through across many, many safe countries in order to come to Britain so they can... BEG. How useful.
Who is letting them in? And why? They contribute nothing. Justify their presence, oh wonderful Labour party.

hey colavitos ghost, who makes the criteria for what is and what isn't pc? And freedom of expression surely has power over thought crime.
Seems a matter of opinion to me.
I say gypsy. you say romany.
I say bothersome thieving beggers, you say cultural enrichment.

Snake Liquor

Pickled snakes are commonly found preserved animals in Asia, and put inside alcoholic drinks. The snakes, preferably venomous ones, are usually not preserved for their meat. They are preserved to have the snake poison dissolved in the liquor. However, because snake...
