went apple picking and came upon this old, old house.

image 16613

found this apple had fallen and decided to place it in a prominent place befitting the old homestead.

image 16614

i wonder how many days and years the family that lived here woke up every morning to take care of and then harvest
the apple trees that were here since this house was built. the people are gone, the house is falling down and yet the trees are still producing their crop of apples each year. the ghosts are here, still working down beneath the house, still harvesting their produce.
