Tom Skilling's 7-day forecast
Monday
Very cold with occasional flurries. Near-record low maximums in the upper 30s. Freezing temperatures in the upper 20s to start the day. Partly sunny but still unseasonably cold with highs in the mid 40s.

zagg: fuck. chicago has snow right now?

aer suzuki: 9th Oct 2006 - 09:35 GMT

i got stuck in chicago during a blizzard once, we had to sleep in the car with just a couple of old army surplus blankets. it was no joke, but an interesting experience...nice post.

This is from last year, just before finals week (and before I was posting on citynoise, so I wasn't concerned with composition and so on here so much as documentation, but whatever)... I decided to post it now because the colder weather was reminding me of the Really colder weather and because I live alone now and miss my roommates (the people in the pictures).

Thanks for the images. Good stuff.

They confirm the reason I moved to East Tennessee from San Francisco.

My affection for Chicago is put on hold between October and April.

and a whole three days after zagg's comment... i'm writing a lab report, haven't left my room since 6:30 yesterday, and i absently look out the window and see this:

I was transferred to Chicago back in 97 for two months. Beautiful city - but the weather was FREAKISH. You could truely experience 4 seasons in one day. If not for the weather I would have moved there in a heartbeat.

edilia@egpres.com: chicago is beautiful!!

Many stores/restaurants display the first dollar they earned, for good luck. This is taking that tradition to a whole new level...
