by the way. this is downtown concord. pacheco street between east street and the port chicago highway. kind of no mans land near the used car lots.

i love how it's totally monochromatic. it really lets you see the richness of light & shadows. great find.

the monochrome paint definitely contributes to the old-west feel. it's like how when you're little you have a hard time picturing your grandmother as a young person in color (or at least i did)--this house is the color of a tintype photo of itself.
can you tell what those signs on the door say? i hope it's not being demolished.

I remember walking by that house when I was younger, imagining I lived there. That I was in the past and that was my portal to be able to jump back and forth in time. I would stand on the side walk, before they fenced it. It wasn't always that color if I recall, it was once a reddish color w/ white trim, then a brown. I really home they never demolish it, it is a beautiful home. I would like to see it restored to it's former glory.
