Hot Air Balloons

- EvilGentleman - Sunday, September 24th, 2006 : goo

[previous] :: [next]

Last month, my wife and I were driving around with Chris Erb in the Senneville area of Montreal Island when he spotted these hot-air balloons in the sky above us. I immediately stopped the car, and my wife and I jumped out. We started taking pictures real quickly, but Chris had little interest, as he sees so many of them at the annual balloon festival in his Sussex, NB hometown.

Thanks for the heads-up, Chris!

You can see the fire used to heat the balloon in this shot.

I forgot about these photos. I've been so busy lately that I can't post anything. I just dump photos into iPhoto every couple days and then go on my way. Here are a few of the pictures that I took:

And, yeah, hot air balloons need to be spectacularly shaped (like a big pirate or a gingerbread house) to properly impress me. They're nice though and a ride in one would make a good date so long as you're not as afraid of heights as I am.

Damn, now that I can compare our pics, I can clearly see there is something wrong with the focus on my new camera. I thought so. And yes, I can see you autocorrected your shots, but autocorrecting alone cannot account for the crisper text on your balloons.

EvilGentleman: Good ones, by the way. Thanks.

EG you are the only author on this site that has good articles.Keep it up thanks.

EvilGentleman: 5th Oct 2006 - 15:54 GMT

I beg to differ, Sam. There are a great many wonderful and fascinating, and sometimes even outright awesome articles on here by many different authors.

But thank you very much for the praise, it is very flattering.

jeeff: eg, sam's the one who's been messing with you.

EvilGentleman: 5th Oct 2006 - 20:30 GMT

I figured as much, jeeff. Thanks for the confirmation. I had noticed that there were two "sam" comments followed immediately by two "EvilGentleman" comments, and then a final "Sam" comment. The big clue to me was the fact that Sam was capitalized after switching back. Obviously his cookie now read "EvilGentleman", so he had to re-type his name to return to normal, but he made a formatting error.

Sam, if you are trying to get me in trouble, no need. I can do that perfectly fine all by myself. And if you are a fan who is trying to take matters into your own hands, please let me speak for myself. Thank you.
