Canadian Signs - East To West
Browsing articles in Canada - [previous] :: [next]here are some of the town/city/provincial signs i saw last summer on my cross-canada drive from nova scotia to british columbia. surprisingly there are a few more but can't really be seen through all the bug guts on the windshield.

But I would have crossed the border and used the American interstates. The stretch of the Trans-Canada from Ottawa to the Manitoba border is murder! I-90 or I-94 are so much better. zagg: 10th Sep 2006 - 12:58 GMTis it s wrong that I want a shirt that says "WELCOME TO BEAVER COUNTRY" ? Sirhcbre: 10th Sep 2006 - 15:06 GMTI've been to Oxford NS. it's a sad little town, the downtown looks like it might have been nice at one time but is a ghost town now. Very sad. If anyone says Irving doesn't own New Brunswick, this picture proves them wrong. I see one sign advertising NB and two Irving signs that are probably bigger. On more than one occasion, that Bonjour Quebec sign has made me a very happy person. It has told me that I'm out of New Brunswick. Always a happy day if you live there (until you have to see the back of that sign). I wonder if the Weakerthans song is named after the Winnipeg sign or vice versa. Calgary sign... What the hell?? Something tells me BC has a superiority complex. EvilGentleman: 10th Sep 2006 - 16:28 GMTIs it wrong that I want to see zagg either verify what the shirt says or take it off? ksedge: 10th Sep 2006 - 17:09 GMTEvilG - i actually really enjoyed my drive through northern ontario. long, but surprisingly nice. however, i hadn't done it before and was in no rush, but now that i've done it, it is a long drive. Sirhcbre - i once stopped in oxford one summer to get some of those so called blueberries - couldn't find them anywhere! only ones i could find were at the supermarket and they were from another province! i was confused. zagg - it's not wrong. i posted it strictly for the humour of it. as well as so you could get the idea for such a great shirt.
