i live next door (literally) to an operational air base. bloody eurofighters. noisy fuckers. four gazillion pounds of taxpayers money and they apparently can't fly in thick fog. or rain. or if you even just look at them funny before they take off. awesome. they have some spitfires though. they're much more fun to watch. and made out of wood and recycled wartime baked bean cans. and glue.

I miss the military planes from my days of living on military bases in my childhood. I live next door to the international airport now, but Boeings, Airbuses and all the other commercial airliners are just so boring, it hurts. If only an old B-52 would wander by...

Taken with a rather elderly Canon Dslr body which is now on it's second sensor and shutter. I used it so much the shutter an sensor were worn out!

this here is something which truly was awesome. the danish artist olafur eliasson made this installation 'the weather project' with mirrors glass and light, and sugar and water fog in the tate modern turbine hall in the winter of 2003....
