Montreal or Paris?
[previous] :: [next]The Square-Victoria Metro entrance is one of only four open air entrances in the Montreal Metro system. It is based off Hector Guimard's famous art nouveau entrance porticos from the Paris Metro. It was given in 1967 by the RATP (Régie autonome des transports parisiens) to commemorate the collaboration of French and Canadian engineers in building the metro.

Most of the entrances to the Metro here are pretty ugly kiosks. They're usually very utilitarian looking concrete bunkers that take up half a block. Comment on this article[previous] :: [next] |
