Bush's Garden of Eating
[previous] :: [next]
From my collection of photos shot from the window of a moving vehicle, this is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant whose name resonates in this age of George W. Bush. I reserve any personal comments on US foreign policy. I just want to focus on the scenes available to those cruising the (streets) of Detroit. This one is on Woodward Ave. This article has been viewed 1483 times in the last 53 months aer suzuki: 25th Aug 2006 - 21:09 GMTit's nice to see a post from somewhere other than montreal or houston (no offense to either of those city or their inhabitants) shot from the window of a moving vehicle? check out this site, if you haven't already: www.windscreen.tv Cosmo: 25th Aug 2006 - 22:04 GMTaer suzuki, thanks for telling me about windscreen.tv, I'll have a look. I've learned by happy accident that shooting while driving - somewhat dangerous - often yields excellent photos. joey: 26th Aug 2006 - 01:29 GMTi toured the detroit stroh's brewery in august of 1972. before cosmo was born. i have a photograph of that somewhere around here. probably in a box in the garage Cosmo: 26th Aug 2006 - 01:41 GMTI dunno who joey is or how he gauges my age, but I was born before anyone stepped on the moon. And a bit before that, even. I don't think there are photos of my birth. If there are, they're black and white. ;-) joey: 26th Aug 2006 - 20:50 GMTcosmo. i'm just an ordinary guy who grew up in cleveland and figures most people on the internet are young people. i wanted you to know i visited detroit once in my lifetime. Cosmo: 26th Aug 2006 - 22:18 GMTGlad to meet you, joey! Once in a lifetime is a good minimum to visit any place. 1972 must have been a tough time to visit, so soon after the riots and all. It's still pretty rocky around here but there are definite signs of rebirth. Perhaps some of that will be featured in my future photos... Comment on this article[previous] :: [next] |
