Point Richmond Sightseeing

Welcome to Point Richmond, CA.
image 14799
This is the old train tunnel. There is a tunnel for cars and pedestrians as well. Let's go see what out there.
image 14801
This is the first thing one sees on the left hand side after driving through the tunnel.
image 14802
And this is the view on the right hand side. A beautiful bay view with Mt. Tamalpias.
And that's a couple of oil tankers pumping crude into the Chevron refinery.
image 14804
Another view just to the east, you can still see the refinery pipeline, and the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge.
image 14806
This is the view when I fell to the ground. I'm OK.

nice shots, you seem to have an ability to pare things down to the simplest elements, and that's the kind of photography i'm really digging right now. i love the tones in the first one and the last one is also especially good. thanks for posting.

All these pics are awesome, especially the first! You seem to be a landscape photographer stuck in the city, the same as me. We really should get out of town more often. In your case, I get the impression these sort of shots are your natural calling. Wonderful work!

The light on the yellow buidling makes it look like a model on train set. Very cool pictures.
