View from my bathroom window Saturday morning around 6:50am. This was right before a huge storm blew in from another direction. I got up to feed my cat and I noticed it was pink-ish outside, I opened the bathroom window and this was my view! Quite stunning!

these photos have a funny grain to them. looks like add noise, or maybe they were saved as an indexed gif before being converted back to jpeg?

There was no retouching done to these photos. My EXIF data states:
First Image:
Exposure: 0.008 sec (1/125)
Aperture: f/7.1
ISO: 400
Second Image:
Exposure: 0.004 sec (1/250)
Aperture: f/4.9
ISO: 400
Can you get a grainy image from a longer exposure and a faster film speed? Seems to be what I did here. If you click on the flickr links and go to "more properties" it gives you all the specs to the image.
