Cleavage Tree

This tree on Lakeshore Road in Pointe Claire seems a tad over-pruned.

By the way, for those who wonder why I label this as being Montreal, I have found it simplest to just label everything that was ever once part of the city of Montreal as being in Montreal, and then give the name of the suburb or relevant borough in the text of the post. This is because I have a lot of pictures that cover the period before 2002, when there were 28 municipalities in the Montreal Urban Community (including Montreal), the period between 2002 and 2006, when all of them were forcibly merged into Montreal, and the period since the start of 2006, when 15 of the original 27 merged communities demerged and became separate cities once again, including Dorval, where I live. Too damn confusing to sort out, so I just call it all Montreal.

This is what I've been planning on doing too for anything on the island.

I see these type of trees all over Houston. I want to marvel at nature's ingenuity, but it just looks so freaky.

Nature has nothing to do with it. The trees were aggressively pruned to keep an open area around the power lines. They definitely look freaky, though. For some reason, I am reminded of the hair of one of the characters on the Simpsons.
