Nazi Vs Communist?

- EvilGentleman - Monday, August 7th, 2006 : goo

I saw these unusal comments scrawled on adjacent garage doors on Moreau Street just north of Ontario Street in the east end of Montreal. They seem to be Communist, yet there is a circle with a slash around the hammer and sicle as well, which makes me suspect that there may be a graf battle going on between Nazis and Communists in the area. Definitely weird.

I think this says "Nazi buffoons". The English graf, I'm still trying to determine whether it originally said "We're red, we're back" and someone modified it, or if it always said "We're red, we're black". The crossed-out anarchist symbol also makes me wonder if there is anti-punk sentiment going on here.

This one seems to say "We have a reason to revolt", but the hammer and sicle is again crossed out, so I am truly confused who is dissing who here.

No, you may not. But many say the Conservative Party is the closest legal alternative. Personally, I think the whole Nazi-commie rivalry thing is hilarious. Two oppressive philosophies fighting over who gets to challenge the 'oppressive' governments of Canada and the USA. Definitely a lot of unnoticed hypocritical thinking going on in this case.

I wonder what the comment I responded to that is no longer here said? Been so long that I have forgotten.
