Andrew Smith: 28th Jul 2006 - 07:23 GMTWey, Skeggy - You can see that rollercoaster from Hunstanton on a clear night. Jamie: 28th Jul 2006 - 08:33 GMTJack: no babes i'm afraid. If you've ever been to skeg you'll know what i mean, Andrew: you can see the church steeple in boston, boston stump from hunstanton on a clear day. Andrew Smith: 28th Jul 2006 - 10:54 GMTJamie - I'll get the binoculars out and look out for Boston Stump when I'm next in Hunstanton. (My grandparents live there so I'm a regular visitor). I'm guessing I need to look East of Skeggy? Have only made it to Skegness once, when I was as a kid - wasn't Ingoldmells the first Butlins? Good photo's by the way - You defo get the funfare feel from them - reminds me of spending all day on 2p fruit machines and the smell of candy floss! Can you see Hunstanton from that side of the water? There's no huge rollercoasters as markers, dunno whether you can see the cliffs & lighthouse?
jamie: 28th Jul 2006 - 19:19 GMTno, i don't think you can. like you say, there are no real landmarks large or high enough to be visible from that distance. As a kid Hunstanton was always my local 'seaside'. Skegness was the other side of the moon.. or more accurately; The Wash malcy: 14th Jan 2007 - 15:05 GMTjust for the record..you can see the north norfolk coast from skeggy on a good day... Jamie: 28th Apr 2007 - 17:52 GMTLive webcam from Skegness seafront. Be sure to hit F5 repeatedly so as not to miss any of the action. Comment on this article..[previous] :: [next] |
