If you walk across the MacDonald bridge, this is the view from the Dartmouth end of the walkway.

Throw it all away...

Is this near the old abandoned military housing in Dartmouth? If you have any pictures of those you should post them, I've always wondered what they look like up close.

the photo makes the trash look oddly beautiful, yet in reality i'd probably want to go down there, rake it together, and burn it in an empty oil drum. nice shot.

The PMQ's in Dartmouth are abandoned? Are those ones associated with the naval facilities in Halifax and Dartmouth, or with CFB Shearwater to the south? Is CFB Shearwater still open? We still have PMQ-style buildings near here, in westerm Lachine borough. Most of my childhood was spent in various Q's.

For those unfamiliar with 'Nuck DND parlance, PMQ's are military housing units (Private Married Quarters, I believe), or Q's for short. They are usually either set up as detached one or two story houses, or sometimes as two-story row housing or duplexes. They always look like someone took the same 5 toy houses, copied them repeatedly, plunked them at random throughout a bunch of crescent-shaped streets, and then randomly painted the whole mess in 5 different colours. Anyone who has lived in them can recognize Canadian PMQ's or former PMQ's anywhere on earth.
