As these are among the largest structures in , , I'm sure you can see why it is a very uncompelling town.

hi scott, yes i must agree the buildings do look quite flat, apart from the grain tower. but surely it`s not the building that make a town, the residents can add something, now, if they are a boring bunch then there is no hope, anyway i expect ok. to be flat, that is why i love walking on the yorkshire dales, rolling hills, and moorland, rivers, forests, market towns etc. check out BARNOLDSWICK. IT`S TH BEES KNEES

Nicole Allen: 10th May 2007 - 03:06 GMT

Scott,

I lived in this town for most of my life. In fact the poeople there are wonderful. This is not the most interesting building, in fact it is the most boring building. You could go to my old house (the largest house in town) or the gym, or even the Coop. Yes, it isn't the most thrilling town. But, it is nothing to be made fun of.

Joseph Nash: 10th May 2007 - 06:18 GMT

Scott,

I love the fact that you highlighted only one small piece of the town. As Nicole mentioned there are many other fascinating things to be seen and talked about in Bessie. I grew up here before entering college, and this town is great. These three pictures represent very little about the community. If you want to focus on the town that is your choice, but family tends to be the key focus here, and many awesome families are seen within. I guess this is when your values should be questioned.

Matthew Goeringer: 4th Jan 2009 - 15:37 GMT

Scott,

I will admit that Bessie is not the most exciting place in the world; but did you really look around? I don't think that you did. You took pictures of the School and water tower, and claimed that they were the largest structures in town. They are not.

I know Bessie very well. I grew up in the country outside of the town. The pictures that you took were taken on Main Street. Would you like to see some pictures of other things on Main Street? Things that you could see from where you were. Things that were less than 100 yards from where you were at.

There is a picture of Main Street, just a block from where you were. The picture has the fire department, water office, town hall, post office, school gym, repair shops, and 2 memorials.

Another picture is a picture of the Co-op. If you would have turned around when you took your pictures, you would have seen it.

And another picture is of the Gypsum plant. It's on Main street too. You should have been able to see this one as well.

picture is of the Lutheran Church at Bessie.

And as Nicole and Joseph said, you really did only highlight a small part of the town. I'm not sure why you had such a narrow minded view of the town, but just come back and look around sometime. There are many fascinating places to visit. There are many beutiful houses and churches.

Family is important in this town, as well as friends. I actually know Nicole and Joseph, I went to school with them.

But if your idea of exciting things are big buildings, then yeah I guess we are boring. But that's just from your point of view. To us; work, family, friends, playing and having fun is excitement.
