random curious fact: in prospect heights, the signs for st marks just say st marks, and do not include the ave notation at the end, as they do in park slope. same goes for most of the parallel avenues in the vicinity, for some reason.

also of random note: at some point in the 70s, when many street-signs were being replaced due to their age, it was decided that the period after "St" and the apostrophe in "Marks" would be truncated.

very cool shot. strange, but i just saw this in the 'from the archives' section and i woulda thought that would feature older shots, this is a new post...but then i don't know how things work around here.

that's beside the point though. in addition to the obvious coolness of the modified sign, there's something really appealing about the colors. nice one.
