polar bears? or giant molars? "The Elevated Wetlands" is an ecological plastic-based sculpture by artist Noel Harding. They are located in Taylor Creek Park near the Don Valley Parkway. The six sculptures use recycled plastic soil to purify polluted water from the Don River. This article has been viewed 2479 times in the last 2 years
Elicar: 29th Apr 2006 - 12:20 GMTWhen was this built? I hiked Taylor Creek Park, then Don Valley to downtown in 2002. Never saw this. Too big for me to miss or forget if I ever saw it. jeeff: 29th Apr 2006 - 17:16 GMTi like the last photo best. it looks like the creatures (whatever they are) are leading the cars through the valley. Marita: 30th Apr 2006 - 18:41 GMTThey're like giant molars - or like polar bears with their backs & heads shaved! Marvellous! Heather: 14th Jul 2006 - 04:40 GMTI've been seeing these molars for years . . . and wondering, how could I build one (much smaller, or course) as a project to do with a group of school children??? cerniagigante: 18th Aug 2006 - 07:51 GMTI like the solar pannel on the molar... looks like a dentist's nanorobot in action. Whizzzzz, whizzzz, whizzzzz, splash.... Jack: 9th Mar 2008 11:05 : 9th Mar 2008 - 15:07 GMTI was wondering what they were but no one could tell me. We need more things that will help improve the water quality. Comment on this article..[previous] :: [next] |
