Critter in the Basement
[previous] :: [next]I love this spotted salamander. Once or twice a year s/he makes an appearance in the basement. Last summer I found one at the bottom of the compost pile. They're like little gods--so regal! This article has been viewed 2419 times in the last 2 years jeeff: 17th Apr 2006 - 18:31 GMTi always wanted a blue-spotted salamander or a slime mould as a pet when i was a kid, inspired by a book called of kinkajous, capybaras, horned beetles, seladangs, and the oddest and most wonderful mammals, insects, birds, and plants of our world (phew). i knew that both ranged through southwestern ontario forests, where i grew up. i'm still bitter that i never found either. i still want them as pets. btw, here's the book: www.amazon.com/gp/product/156852515X/104-7056410-5091131?v=glance&n=283155 GGP: 17th Apr 2006 - 19:15 GMTthat book sound right up my alley! plus, I love books with unapologetically long-winded titles! Catherine Penfold-Waxman: 17th Apr 2006 - 22:21 GMTWhe I saw the name of this post I was hoping in was either a Morlock or Cthtulu, but this little fellow is almost as nice. I like the way he's perfectly in line with the stick. Comment on this article..[previous] :: [next] |
