Emptying the (astor Place) Cube
[previous] :: [next]so as some of you may know, a few weeks ago a handful of people went all nuts on the astor place cube. 7 people were eventually arrested - 3 for vandalism and 4 disorderly conduct (no clue what distinguished the offenses - anyone have any insight?) It was buffed by the next morning, so if you didn't get to see it, here it is...

little ukraine: 14th Apr 2006 - 20:42 GMTkc- some of it looked like chalk, and other parts looked like paint, or some material more difficult to remove - a friend and i theorized that the 4 who were arrested for disorderly conduct may have been the chalkers, while the 3 arrested for vandalism might have used paint-like stuff. joey: 15th Apr 2006 - 02:43 GMTis this the same cube that was memorialized in the national lampoon magazine? maybe so. i'll have to do some research and get back to you. joey: 15th Apr 2006 - 02:49 GMTi think i found it. i loved this story. and it was about this cube. or wait- is there another cube like this in nyc? Chris Erb: 1st Jun 2006 - 01:01 GMTI watched a video about this art collective in NY who made what they call LED stickies which were just coloured LED lights attached together to make a little ball with something sticky on them.
