Remember Raccoons, Cute or Dangerous? Well, a relative of these cuties have set up a penthouse downtown.

I could not fathom how he could balance on that small branch sleeping.

He was there all day. The first 5 pictures were taken at 11:00 AM and the last one was taken at 4:00 PM. Unfortunately, I have my crappy camera, so I could not zoom any closer.

Get out of your car, buddy: 8th Apr 2006 - 02:22 GMT

And now (10:30PM) she/he is living high on hogtown trash. When I was a kid, I had a baby racoon as a pet (long story as to how that happened). They are cool little creatures. And very cute when they are young. I try to remember that when I am cleaning up the ripped open green bin, or trying to clean their greasy paw prints off the windows.

One night we kept hearing chunks of stuff hitting our house. It started small, and then became big thuds. Turns out it was a pair of racoons breaking into our neighbours house (it was vacant for a few months before being sold). They pulled open the sofit, and climbed into the attic to have their family. We didn't realize it until the nightly migration out of the attic started with all the babies.

This is only the second time I have seen a raccoon during the day time. The first one was at Taylor Creek Park hidden behind the tree's heavy foliage, so unlike this one.

Cute ..Nice to think that knowone bothered it while it had its nap .

We get them in the backyard all the time, it must be on the path to somewhere else... We had a mother with five babies last year!!!

Elicar you're right, it is rare to see them during the daytime, as they generally come out around dusk. Though on the rare occasion we do see them on the roof of the house next door during in the early morning.

Seeing them always makes my day...

Neat photos, it would have been nice if you could have zoomed in more. I used to operate my own wildlife control business in Toronto and now have a website that is meant to help people with wildlife conflicts. http://www.wildlifeinthecity.com, hope you enjoy it.
