Gun Farm
Browsing articles in Cambodia - [previous] :: [next]Shane and I went to Cambodia a couple of years ago and shot a lot of guns. Oh it was so much fun. Anyway, we had our picture taken with the workers of the gun farm. I'm the one with the hole in the crotch of my shorts.
The gun farm was set up by the Kingdom of Cambodia's Armed forces. You may hear shit about people being able to shoot chickens and blow up cows...but that is a thing of the past. Cambodia is now a Buddhist Kingdom and so things like that are frowned upon and were not allowed at this gun farm. Nevertheless, when it was done, the manager of the gun farm told me that they would go to farmers with old animals and the person who wanted to, lets say, blow up a cow with an RPG would give the farmer $150 for the animal. With that money the farmer could buy a calf or use the money for more pressing things. People in Cambodia make on average a dollar a day.
