Ever had one of those times where you look at your digital clock or watch or odometer to find that all numbers are the same? And then you think to yourself: odd/cool/wtf? Is it a milestone of some sort? Well I have. So I took a picture of my odometer that had a series of 4s with my phone cam since i didn't have my cam with me. But then I took a picture of my phone screen with my digital camera cuz apparently it cost around 50cents to upload a picture from my phone to the computer. (note: I've also had it at 9:11. I wouldn't have thought anything of it until after the whole 9/11 incident)

aw crap..sorry editor..forgot my location again: markham/toronto, ON.

So sorry...!

jeeff: 44,444 km/h is pretty fast.

jeeff: 7th Apr 2006 - 01:27 GMT

coincidentally that's roughly the speed of pioneer 10, the 3rd fastest interplanetary spacecraft.

aw crap..sorry, not odometer....the thing that tells you how many kilometres you have driven, what's that called?

Micah: odometer (I looked it up to be sure)

jeeff: i was just joking because of the photo.

jeeff: 7th Apr 2006 - 02:41 GMT

and then i thought, "hmm, i wonder if anything goes that fast..."

Jamie: 7th Apr 2006 - 10:56 GMT

i often find that when i look at my watch/a clock it is exactly 11:39. I know, it sounds stupid, but i thought i'd share it with you.

I really like the English's brand of humour. It is soooo subtle and understated. ;)

Get out of your car, buddy: 8th Apr 2006 - 02:53 GMT

You've done 44,444 km (which works out to 823 round trips to downtown) and you are still in Markham. Drea, your odometer is working fine, but something else is wrong with the picture.

drea: 8th Apr 2006 - 15:55 GMT

HEY! LOL...Markham's fairly boring, but it's not so bad! And who says I just drive around in Markham?

Get out of your car, buddy: 9th Apr 2006 - 01:39 GMT

"And who says I just DRIVE around Markham?"

??

I guess the joke is on me. I assumed that this odometer was for your bike!!

BTW, there are some great things in Markham (esp. the Asian markets). It is the vacuum between these great things that needs work (heck, maybe they should just start over again). Hopefully VIVA is a hit!

drea: 9th Apr 2006 - 04:40 GMT

Markham's slowly getting better. I do miss downtown though (lived on res for a year, went downtown almost twice every week). We've got a few bars and 2 that has a dance floor, but it's the same old.

"Drea, your odometer is working fine, but something else is wrong with the picture" - I wasn't sure what you meant, either the internet picture itself, or the whole metaphorical picture of the situation. And the Viva is turning into a hit.

Get out of your car, buddy: 10th Apr 2006 - 13:04 GMT

Metaphorical. I was thinking that was a lot of kms for someone to put on their bike, and to be riding around Markham. Didn't seem sane to me. Turns out it was your car, so it all makes sense now.

Also, I like to tease anyone that lives in the burbs. You may have figured that out by now.

Back to teasing. If you miss downtown, you should be downtown. Last I heard, there are more than a few dance floors.
