doesnt nyc have those itnernationally recognisable signs with the hand icons and stuff now as opposed to the "english only" walk and dont walk signs?

cshrem: 31st Mar 2005 - 02:29 GMT

yes they do, I live in NYC. I took one of the old "dont walk" signs when the man was taking them down, and i'm curious to know how much its worth

Peter: 31st Mar 2005 - 15:15 GMT

probably not much, as there are zillions of em, and its only a disused sign after all...

but yeah nyc did switch over to the hand/silhouette format over the past coupla years.

i'd love to get hold of a working sign too... i could probably stretch to a c-note

email me (my username above) @mac.com

The Well-Known West Side Market

At the corner of Lorain and West 25th stands the West Side Market, an absolutely beautiful building completed in 1912 and granted Landmark Status in 1973. I have no shots of the outside, but these of the inside capture...
