I once saw one at Adelaide Street! It was hard to get scared with all the cameras and movie crew around!

Liz: huh? Mind 'splaining this one?

Its not the snipper you see,,,, its the one you DON"T ...

Myke: 25th Mar 2006 - 21:21 GMT

The guy on the roof there seems to be holding some automatic weapon, like a carbine. It isn't a sniper rifle. Good shot though.

This was a recent tactical call out after a bank robbery. The bandits were believed to be held up in a nearby house. While the entry was ongoing Toronto police set up a sniper on the roof of a seniors home that backed onto the target house. The rifle is an Ar-15 / m16 varaint with a scope. While not a sniper rifle per say, for the distance involved it is ideal. for long distance shots (+100 metres) the remington 700 is used.

Myke: That's pretty interesting.

Tim in the Streets

Well, I've only just discovered this site. This is one of my first posts..... When I first came to Fredericton (almost two years ago), the main source of litter I noticed was the mysterious Tim Hortons cup. They were/are ubiquitous....
