The heat kills everything off. Elicar: 24th Mar 2006 - 13:29 GMTWoe is me! I associate branding with livestock branding! Ya know, to enable the cow to be returned its rightful owner when it gets lost from his herd? jack: 24th Mar 2006 - 15:46 GMTeventually people born will have micro chips placed in their bodies. all people with tatoos will have a problem with the ink in the dye creeping into their blood stream which will be causing cancer cells to pop up. so the micro chips will be color coded and designed to display the dna construction of the individual and hence will have a design of the type of work they will be allocated to. spygirl_t: 24th Mar 2006 - 19:24 GMTJack, you've been reading The Handmaid's Tale, I see. But it is a high likelyhood that you are on the right track. We just look at the airports these days and the new iris scanning system they've been putting in place.
Rapunzel: 25th Mar 2006 - 17:19 GMTJack! Read the Handmaid's Tale! And read "Until I find you..." while you're at it...(John Irving) he's not Canuck, but might as well be with most of his writing. I've been pierced and tattooed, but never branded. It seems....scary. I've been burned before, and the pain is NOT GOOD. I live in Australia now, and have NEVER come across branding here. Is it done, or what??? jack: 25th Mar 2006 - 18:18 GMTrapunzel, great name. is the handmaid's tale a girlie book? i'll check it out -- i might enjoy it. meanwhile, my son-in-law has informed me that a company manufacturing pharmaceuticals has come up with a "chip-type" implantation that can monitor vital statistics and medicine usage, etc. He said they're trying it on livestock right now. So, I guess we're not too far away from my own predictions....
