Drab
[previous] :: [next]
Some parts of my neighborhood are really drab. This article has been viewed 2409 times in the last 2 years GGP: 23rd Mar 2006 - 22:45 GMTthey're both pretty robotic, come to think of it. "come to mommy-robo and daddy-robo," they're saying to the little robo-pump in the lower R corner. but the little robo is scared to cross the street alone, however drab it may be be. elaine: 24th Mar 2006 - 09:37 GMTthe PATHOS! the PATHOS! www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&safe=off&q=define%3Apathos&btnG=Search&meta= jack: 24th Mar 2006 - 15:50 GMTthe left robo building has a tear in its eye. and the one on its left (our right) looks like it has its mouth open and is sticking out its tongue to us. a lot, a rarity in bklyn. and notice, a tree grows in brooklyn. there could be an entire story there ggp about the pic. you saw the setting. GGP: 24th Mar 2006 - 20:18 GMTelaine's link lead me to the phrase "ensemble pathos": a term coined by Francis Ferguson to describe playwriting style that focuses not on the plight of a single individual but on a group of people; the audience's emotional response is therefore dispersed among the group. The plays of Chekhov epitomize ensemble pathos. we should write an ensemble play about the ensemble pathos of this sad scene. jack: 24th Mar 2006 - 21:55 GMTwe can start it by describing the partially opened garage door to the mind of the building. if buildings could talk and streets yearn for the soft rays of the sun, then think of the garbage strewn about the properties. the empty lot being filled with peoples junk, the light is on telling everyone that no one is home and two different buildings stuck together.
