Not So Puzzled

It's finally done, first puzzle in years to be pieced together. I like the colours of the puzzle, initially I thought the colours would appear flat, but it's actually not bad! What do you think?

Nice! I'm a puzzle geek too. That has got to be a 1,000-piecer, yes?

Peter: 21st Mar 2006 - 17:28 GMT

ive been known to work a puzzle or two in my time, too... theres a very zen-like quality present in spending hours assembling fragments to see a larger-picture, only to spend seconds tearing it all part once its been completed.

growing up, my family had a tradition of getting a new puzzle for christmas every year, then working it in that wintery indoors slack-time between christmas and new year's.

when i think of puzzles, i think of that. a nice memory :)

EvilGentleman: 21st Mar 2006 - 17:46 GMT

Nice puzzle. That reminds me, I keep forgetting to bring some photos to the printing place in the local mall to be put on puzzles. I must do that one of these days...

Jono: 21st Mar 2006 - 18:19 GMT

a'la: Yes, it's a full 1,000 pieces! What kind of puzzles do you like to do?

Peter: Thanks for sharing the memories! Like you say puzzles come apart far too quickly for the amount of time and love put into them, it's sad almost. Having a picture to keep of the accomplishment is certain consolation.

Jono: 21st Mar 2006 - 18:24 GMT

EvilGentleman: Thank you, and speaking about having photos printed out as puzzles. I saw an ad somewhere for that recently but found it was a bit pricey. I think for a larger puzzle, much like the one here it was about $35.00. How does that compare against the services at your local mall?

Elicar: 21st Mar 2006 - 18:46 GMT

Speaking of memories...My ex-father-in-law, Jack, was very fond of puzzles. He had something different laid out everytime we go for our monthly visits. He used to complain that there's always a piece missing. I used to love to tease/annoy him by messing up his puzzles (not too much to give him enough reason to kill me!)

Well, Jack has gone to heaven 2 years ago. Seeing the picture of this puzzle made me remember the good times we had spent together!

"Hope you are having a blast up there Jack, as you used to when you were with us!"

jack: he will always be with you.
