Elicar: 20th Mar 2006 - 16:15 GMTHoly S___! I am glad this is not in my neighbourhood! I haven't seen cops in full regalia like this! And Oakville is one of the more affluent burbs here! Peter: 20th Mar 2006 - 16:21 GMTi see cops like that all the time here in nyc. granted, theyre not always storming some building, but in our post-9/11 police state, there has been a profound overproliferation in swat-clad cops, and to be very honest, it sort of creeps me out to be riding the train to work in the morning with two guys carrying automatic machine guns and wearing flack jackets. elaine: 20th Mar 2006 - 17:01 GMTreminds me of jake and dinos chapman sculptures www.whitecube.com/html/artists/djc/djc_frset.html EvilGentleman: 20th Mar 2006 - 18:26 GMTGood shot. I am taking it that you are either an accredited media photojournalist or an RCMP constable? torontofreelance: 20th Mar 2006 - 23:29 GMTNo, I am not an police officer, I work for a living! I am a Private Investigator who also works as a freelance videographer and photog. I appreciate the compliments. Jim: 21st Mar 2006 - 00:23 GMTSo a training exercise at an abandon building? EvilGentleman: 21st Mar 2006 - 01:52 GMTLooking a little deeper into the photo, I see a possible scenario here: The Oakville Police have been deeply concerned as of late due to an unknown person or persons who have been nailing plywood to windows and doors all over Oakville. The fact that the plywood is 9-ply 1.5" thick plywood has been striking terror into the hearts and minds of decent plywood salesmen throughout the region, because the culprit (dubbed the Plywood Pusher by police) has been offering free samples of a highly superior product. Local residents have been staying inside, fearing the possiblity of a drive-by boarding, and hardware stores have been board centsless over the whole affair. Police have no description of the culprit, but believe he has been active in Brooklyn for years, especially around Fulton Street. Montreal Police also report similar cases along the west end of Sainte-Catherine Street. In this picture, Oakville Police have been tipped that the suspect may be inside, heavily armed with a nail gun. Apparently the nail gun is modified to seek out kevlar vests, and this is why the shield is protecting their kevlar vests, and not their unshielded legs. We can only hope that their efforts will remove this menace from the streets before we are board out of our minds. Peter: 21st Mar 2006 - 14:54 GMTboard. hahahahaha. oh, its nice to have a good laugh first thing in the morning :) torontofreelance: 25th Mar 2006 - 20:47 GMTIt was a training exercise at an old seniors building. It was Halton Regional Police, Tactical Rescue Unit. crab killah 187: 5th Apr 2006 - 14:38 GMTya i herd ya dawg so u new set new brew young bloods were u say yus from well i aint give fubk bout dat just make sure when u bust dem crabs down leave no hesitation to take da niggas life im out peace c.p.t
