"vehicule"...! i love signage... its become somewhat of a meme here :)

Jamie: 17th Mar 2006 - 17:42 GMT

isn't that how you say vehicle in american? it's funny how we're seperated by a common language. i guess the canadians live smewhere in the middle ground. i guess. you see, i say tom-a-to and you say tom-ay-to. Let's all go and eat worms. i say trousers you say pants. you say al-u-minum i say alu-min-yum. But you say "erb", whereas i say herb, cause there's a fucking "H" in it.

Véhicule is French for vehicle. When I did Katimavik (five long years ago!) our PL in first rotation put a sign on the Katima-van to say 'this vehicle stops at all railway crossings' but, being French and I guess a little inattentive, he put 'this véhicule stops at all railway crossings.' Ah, bilingualism, je l'adore tellement!

Hmmmm.... after browsing a number of articles about people that find it cheaper to burn cars than pay to have them scrapped, and a number of other articles where you see "violators will be towed at their own expense", would it not make more sense to pull the VIN # tags off the car, then go park in one of these spots, remove the plates and walk away? Then the car would be taken away, and you have paid nothing.

joey: 18th Mar 2006 - 02:21 GMT

the vin# is also located somewhere on the engine block

jack: 18th Mar 2006 - 05:42 GMT

i think the person, who must be an illiterate imbiscle and very stupid just misspelled vehicel.
