Wow, beautiful photos. Sir. I'd like to see more pictures of these buildings.

upfromflames: 2nd Mar 2007 - 03:06 GMT

It was a scandal when those things went up, I remember. They cost a fortune, if I remember correctly...

Halley: Do you have more shots of these buildings?

Thsi may be what existed there before those government buildings. Called the Drum Rock Hotel, my parents owned it for about ten years. By by Aubrey Cooper (also built the Bushman Rock Hotel, closer to the KNP.)

Guy McLaren: 13th Jan 2008 - 07:35 GMT

Drum Rock was further up the hill, This is in the valley. Drum Rock is now being turned into a residential neighbourhood, The Provincial Vets were there for a while. I remember the drum rock as a kid

Does anyone have pictures or information on the bushman rock hotel. my parents owned it up until 1984, i was 14 years old and we moved to the states.

Thank you, Shane

Here are some pictures form the past. One is a scene from White River, looking towards the Kruger Park. Uplands Prep School was over the hills to the north, a bit to the left, mid '60's shot of Logogot, also known as Bushman's Rock. others are of the flora at Drum Rock as well as one of the main rooms. Note the interior, Shane. Similar?

Guy, I love your work.

Richard de la Rey: 4th Apr 2008 - 12:28 GMT

We used to always stay at either the Drum Rock or Bushman's Rock Hotel on the way to the Kruger when we were lighties. I'm talking about the 1970's. Hell we used to love it. So many memories. I still travel through the area quite a bit as I am involved in tourism. Sad to see such memorable places make way for residential estates.
