Are You on the Pill?

- JJ - Saturday, March 4th, 2006 : goo

This is an actual conversation I witnessed at a bar in Philly. A woman in her late 20’s was having a drink and smoking a cigarette, when a guy approached her.

Guy: “Are you on the pill?”
Girl: “Excuse me!”
Guy: “You heard me.”
Girl: “You want to know if I’m on the pill?”
Guy: “It’s just a question. I’m not trying to hit on you or anything.”
Girl: “Well, that’s pretty personal.”
Guy: “It’s just that I saw you smoking a cigarette and I thought that if you were on the pill, then smoking that cigarette might be a bad idea.”
Girl: “Okay…”
Guy: “I mean, smoking while taking the pill is really dangerous. The risk of certain diseases is tripled.”
Girl: “So I’ve heard. And you think you’re some kind of doctor?”
Guy: “No. I just thought maybe you hadn’t heard about the dangers. I just wanted to help.”
Girl: “I’ll take my chances, thanks.”

This reminds me of a point a friend of mine made back in the late 1980's. He bet us that if he walked up to 10 women he did not know, and said "Wanna f*ck?" that although 9 of the women would either yell at him or slap him, one would say yes. He then proceeded to receive slaps from 6 of them and cursing from all of them, thereby losing his $10.00. But just after that, the 11th woman said "ok, let's go".

It just goes to prove that if a guy has the nerve to do it, he eventually will score, and that this probably explains why there are so many idiots out there who say the things they do.

Girl: While smoking increases health risks in both men and women, the reason why doctors refuse to prescribe the pill to women-smokers over 35 is, it increases the chances of blod clotting.

Elicar: Blood...can't even spell.

my favorite line was, 'do i know you?' that always worked.

Once I was using a public pay phone in the city and some guy got into the booth next to me and while I was talking asked me if I wanted a tongue bath!! I said "WHAT?!" and he proceeded to tell me what it was. He looked SO normal - I didn't know if he was on drugs or just crazy, I hung up on my friend and ran away.
