Silly Cow, the Exhibition

- elaine - Wednesday, March 1st, 2006 : goo

[previous] :: [next]

shameless plug for my exhibition, such as it is...

ok
here's the spec

Fleapit, 49 Columbia Road, E2 7RG, Shoreditch
www.thefleapit.com/

open 28th - 8 march
closed 9 - 15th
open again 16th - 2 april

mon closed
tue 3.30 - 11pm
wed 3.30 - 11pm
thu-sat 11.30am - 11pm
sun 9.30 - 2pm

pv 17th - no free wine, just me and the work - come along if you're local enough
if not, there's a bit more loo la on/of it here www.swinney.org/journals/article.phtml?id=3939

frankly i would wait until the pv or thatabout time, since even by today half what i have done might have fallen down, so i have a bit of tech tweaking to do... plus i have a second hanging day on the 8th so some more work might go up (then again..) and the reason it is shut for a week is that dani and paul are getting married, so they're taking a break.

Idiot, Daft, Silly, Fool, Cow.

I quite like the furniture there, in addition to the art.

elaine: 1st Mar 2006 - 16:46 GMT

an impossible child: 16th Mar 2006 - 17:01 GMT

bless yeah i can understand the feeling nervous etc, i used to totally freak out every year we would have exhibitions at college, even if they were not terribly well publicised etc... makes no sense really :) x

Micah: 17th Mar 2006 - 19:45 GMT

Have fun! I dig the buttons by the way. And the rest too of course. Go Elaine! Oh- are we to expect photos of your vernissage? That would be most excellent.

Elicar: Good luck Elaine!

elaine: 18th Mar 2006 - 15:09 GMT

vernisssage = varnishing? micah?
whatisit whatisit whatisit????

i feel a bit guilty about writing/picturing about this here - since it's kind of off topic, but if you really are masochistic enough to want to read all about it do feel free to look at my helljay mitherings, which have some pictures here and there. elaine4queen.livejournal.com/
even half an hour before the opening i was still hanging and rehanging, so i need to go take more pictures, so there will be pictures somewhere on the wide wide net...
thanks for the good wishes. obviously i *do* look like julie andrews on crack, because impossible child found me easily...

elaine: 21st Mar 2006 - 12:26 GMT

ah, cool. nice to learn something new. so much for babelfish...

p.s. you will never know how there might have been fountains of champagne, dancing girls, fire eaters and free love. this is you, this is thesaurus.reference.com/search?q=unwilling

Jamie: 21st Mar 2006 - 12:59 GMT

Shell Oil Statue

This statue is in the courtyard of shell oil, near waterloo station. Me and my friends think it looks like a backbone from some ancient creature.
