elaine: 19th Feb 2006 - 15:27 GMThere, the uk, the thing people always say about swans is 'they could break your arm'. why, specifically this, i have no idea. i have never ever met anyone who had their arm broken by a swan, or even heard of a named individual. however, they are big strong wild birds, and it really is just a way of saying 'pretty, yes. not a pet.'
